alright. and with day one, i bring you all what might possibly be one of my faaaavorite arcade-style grindhouse shooters of all time---and it's for the wii!

say hello, my friends, to....

HoTD: overkill is a must have for anyone who enjoys tarantino or rodriguez (or is a general fan of HoTD; this game is the prequel to the series).

this is hands-down, folks.

the acting is cheesy, the zombies are plentiful, missing reels are abound, and yes---there's even a hot babe (whose breasts have their very own physics) to keep you distracted when you're not pumping mutants full of lead.
there are boss fights at the end of every shoot 'em up, cinematic episode-type level, and these are probably the game's only shortcoming to those who enjoy such overdone action themes. they're incredibly easy, but Isaac Washington's ongoing cries of "THAT'S JUST NOT FUCKING RIGHT, MOTHER FUCKER" will keep you laughing hard enough to forget aforementioned disappointment.

really. if you love grindhouse films, pick this up. you will NOT regret it.

if you're feeling iffy, check out some of the cutscenes on youtube.
guaranteed laughs. 100%

my friend eliza is starting a project where she'll post a vlog for every day in july. this is impressive.
a few others are joining her in this endeavor, including myself.

i, however will be posting here instead. my forte is writing, not speaking.

expect to hear a lot from me in the days to come.

I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?

my brazilian friend fernando left for home this morning. it was... definitely the definition of a bittersweet goodbye. i want him to go home and see the friends and family he hasn't seen in ten months, but at the same time, i don't want him to leave. i really feel for him. since he came to america, he suddenly had two lives to juggle... and i'm sure that now it'll be even harder now that he's gone back to life number one.

i owe my friend elijah one big thank you. again, he sat out in the car with me for an hour until i was able to settle down. friends like him only come around a few times in a lifetime. i'm glad to have him now...

ahh, well.

best buy actually called me on monday to set up an interview with me. that happens tomorrow at three. i'm feeling pretty positive about it, so i don't think there'smuch for me to be worrying about. we'll see, i guess. i'm confident that i'll be able to push all these little issues to the side for an hour... but i guess i never really know when something else is gonna turn up. hopefully i didn't just jinx myself. haha...

so, i suppose it's about time. to be honest, i just missed posting random nonsense to my xanga account 9438 years ago... so here we go. a bunch of nothing for whoever wants to read it, if anyone. that sounds good to me.

so today i got an interview at the moline kmart. yeah, i know they set up an interview right after the application. i don't care. haha. this is my first interview, and potentially my first job. it's about damn time, so i'm excited.

where else have i applied?
well...

  • best buy
  • whitey's ice cream
  • hyvee
  • toys r us
  • the picture people
  • steak n shake
  • sears portrait studio
  • ryan's
  • jcpenney
no return. it's now that i believe we're finally in a recession... an 18 year old girl fresh out of high school can't even land a job at hyvee. haha. hopefully this kmart thing works out.

attention, kmart shoppers.
we have a blue light special on... get me out of here.
